Homepage | Attractions | Food Area Information The area between Baton Rouge and Hammond Louisiana is one of the fastest growing areas in the south. We are talking about Livingston Parish, the area from Denham Springs on the west to Albany-Springfield on the east. Most all the hotels and campgrounds are fairly new or just plain new. The people in this area are fantastic. Very friendly and always offering a helping hand. This area has some of the lowest crime statistics in Louisiana so you can feel pretty safe and secure here. The people of Livingston Parish take great pride in the area and welcome the people from other areas. Denham Springs is located on the busy Interstate 12 that runs from Baton Rouge to Slidell Louisiana. It is a favorite of people that are doing business in Baton Rouge. Many travelers that come to Baton Rouge pick Denham
Springs as their resting place when night time comes around. Lets not
forget that the Bass Pro Shops is located at the Denham Springs exit.
With it came a lot more restaurants and shopping areas. All this is new
as of 2008. Walker Louisiana is just five miles east of Denham Springs along Interstate 12. This is another new area. All the hotels are newly built with more being built. Plenty of fast food places there along with a great Louisiana seafood place. Lafleur's Jr Seafood is the place you want to eat at to get that true New Orleans seafood taste. Located 1/2 mile North of I-12 on the left side of the road. There is a Wal-Mart, McD's, Berger King, Wendy's, Jack in the Box, and a couple of Chinese restaurants. You are also just 2 miles from Satsuma (the new Branson) where Branson type shows are going on at the Suma Hill Conference Center.
